Mantras as a Mental Therapy

Sound, words and music, have the ability to affect us.

To reprogram the mind to remove its negative conditioning and replace it with one that is beneficial, the therapeutic use of the Mantra is the Core Tool.

Mantras are essentially energized sounds and words. Mantras are repeated regularly to strengthen them and turn them into tools of psychological transformation. Any key word or phrase that we repeat, memorize and keep deep within us is a kind of mantra. When we repeat a thought of anger or hatred towards another person, it is a dark mantra. When we repeat our wishes for success and fulfillment, it is the Disturbed Mantra. Such mantras do not heal the mind, but perpetuate its patterns of ignorance and agitation.

To truly heal the Mind, satvik mantras are needed which aim to dissolve the ego and promote self-awareness. These are mantras born out of love and the pursuit of wisdom.

Control of the mind and development of the Hidden powers of the Mind come about through the power of Mantra. The Mantra changes the energetic structure of the mind which dissolves the problem. The mantra changes the energy of the mental field in a positive way. When we repeat a mantra for a long time, it builds up an energy that can neutralize the scars left by our distracted mental activity and create a more powerful memory to replace them.

Mantras are like asanas for the mind. They give plasticity and adaptability to the Mind. They exercise the energy of the mind and give balance and stability to the mind.
