You will be guided using a Vipassana Meditation technique while listening to (on headphones) a sound which stimulates theta brain waves.
Vipassana means "insight", to see things as they really are. It is self-transformation through self-observation. Vipassana techniques are based on the true teachings of Buddha.
Theta activity has a frequency of 3.5 to 7.5 Hz and is classed as “slow” activity. It is seen in connection with creativity, intuition, daydreaming, and fantasizing and is a repository for memories, emotions, sensations. Theta waves are strong during internal focus, meditation, prayer, and spiritual awareness. It reflects the state between wakefulness and sleep and relates to the subconscious mind.
Subjective feeling states felt while on Theta State are: relaxed, not agitated, but not drowsy; tranquil, conscious.
Stimulation of Theta Waves can help you to go deeper into your meditation practice! And thats what we will be doing in this session.
At the end of the session, we would appreciate a donation. Yoga Mission is a school for vulnerable children in Varanasi (India). Due to the lockdown, the school is struggling to receive donations to feed around 400 children every day. The donations received at this event will be given to the school. Please invite your friends and family to participate too so we can feed as many children as possible.
